All packed!

I went on a shopping spree of supplies for Chris!  We have things all packed as best we can, we'll see if she makes it on the plane with all this stuff!  Flight to Chicago later today (Wednesday), leaves SJC at 1:35 PM.

  1. Do you have a good backpack in that pile? And a Camelback? I'm sure you know what to bring, and this is probably a little late, but here's a link for a SAR pack list: http://www.1srg.org/Contributed-Materials/PackLists/Walter.htm
Also, Sharpies, ear plugs for sleeping and those handy scissors EMTs use. Do you expect any issue bringing that type of equipment on a commercial plane?

  2. I'll have to post the other picture I took late last night after we finished putting it together. She had a rolling "back pack" with the tent and pad strapped to it that she checked and a regular soft backpack and her sleeping bag that we crammed this all into. I didn't get her a camelback, she probably wouldn't like that. She did bring a water bottle as well as the 2 1 liter collapsible bottles I picked up that she can chlorinate and filter her water in. I think she had about everything you mentioned except the earplugs, she'll use drugs on the plane and in camp if needed :-) Scissors are an issue, I think she checked some...
